Synopsis
'Rangrezz' is about Rishi Deshpandey, a young, courageous boy whose life is incomplete without his friends and loved ones. He's the perfect example of a true friend, and values his relationships and the dignity of his loved ones above all else.

Rishi can't live without his childhood love: Megha; and his friends: Pakkya and Vinod. He considers his friends as close as family and would go to any length to help or protect them.

This loyalty puts Rishi and his friends in a life-threatening situation when they collectively help a friend marry the love of his life, despite her parents' opposition.

In a hair raising climax involving terrific action sequences & thrill, Rishi's friends see his new avatar: just like Shiva – one who will benevolently die for the ones he loves, but also one who can also kill for the lack of it!

Character Sketch
Jackky Bhagnani as Rishi Deshpande
Young, handsome boy next door with an additional spice of being a loyal friend and a sensible lover. A wanna be cop. Can be labelled as ‘Mr Fix it'. He is out there to help people: even if it costs him. A warm person who becomes vulnerable when it comes to crises of friends & family. One word that fits Rishi’s enthusiastic zeal is: ‘Chal Karte hai!!’

Priya Anand as Megha Joshi
Single point agenda of this cute chatterbox is to get married to Rishi. They have been childhood lovers. Tying the sacred thread around her neck is a mere formality which will be done after Rishi clears his Police Department exam. Only hitch: he never does. His regular failures to clear the exams have become the butt of joke between the loving couple & is the root cause of Megha’s anxiety.

Amitosh Nagpal as Winu
‘Closet Lover’ is the term that can describe Rishi’s best friend, Winu, in one word. Winu is afraid of Rishi’s wrath. Should he take this affair as an assault on ‘dosti’, Winu loses both pillars of his life. He is buying time by putting up a computer institute. He can ask for Venu’s hand after he gets financial stability.

Vijay Verma as Pakkya
A crackjack in the bunch of otherwise sensible friends. Reason behind his dreamy pursuit of getting a passport shows direct contrast to his intellectual capabilities, but he is religiously following it nevertheless. Only son of widowed & re-married father, his emotional hurts & financial problems are a source of constant humour & tension.

Raghav Chanana as Joy
Passionate person & Jackky’s best friend since school times. They lived in the same hostelroom. Now even after graduation, both of them still nurture the same protective bond. There’s certain intensity to Joy: which is charismatic but also a little unsettling. Rishi has been his rescuer in past & he comes seeking the same, this time in life as well.

Akshara as Jasmin
Only child to rich powerful industrialist father, Jasmin’s strong headedness works in her favour when it comes to her love-life. Will she be able to mend her ‘Oh Queen Me’ ways to shoulder the responsibilities of love marriage, will be a litmus test.

Rishikesh Deshpande as Chacha Chaudhari
Classic example of saying, ‘Friendship has no limits of age & occupation.’ Much elder to Rishi’s gang of friends, Chacha is a true friend nevertheless. Works at a resort in Goa as Manager, stands rock-steady behind an unknown couple just for the sake of friends.

Pankaj Tripathi as Brijbihari Pande
He may be rich, hard-working power-broker industrialist, but what describes BB Pandey is a traditional caring father. Like any other parent, he too wants the best for his only daughter. A cunning businessman, he can get the scores settled if things don’t go his way, ensuring his daughter’s safety & bright future.

Lushin Dubey as Rati Chaturvedi
A Crooked politician, whose frustrations of a failed political career get accentuated when her only son, Joy, decides to marry against her wishes. She will go to any extent to get things done her way.

Sunil Sinha as Devdutta Deshpande
Rishi’s simpleton of a father. Works in a bank, his life begins & ends with his family. Man with a loving tender heart, he has rare golden ability to put his ego aside & take decisions in the best interest of the children. Never wears his heart on the shoulder, but has deep love & faith in the goodness of his son, Rishi.

Sona Nair as Devyani Deshpande
Regular loving, irritating ‘I love you mom, but don’t shout’ kind of a mother. Worried about the well-being of her kids, she is an open-minded person who entertains her daughter-in-law (Megha’s) unique absurdities.

Sakhi Gokhale as Venu
Venu is the child of the house. Uses loud crying howls to get people’s attention. Loves Winu, but dead afraid of parents' & Jackky’s reaction, bone of contention being Winu’s Christianity!

Milind Wagh as Major
Widowed Ex-service-man. Epitome of hope & optimism. His sense of discipline never gets into the way of loving his son, but rather makes things better, when Winu goes through testing times.

Milind Phatak as Carpenter
Hard-working carpenter (Pakkya’s father), whose one sway towards passion has cost him a second marriage, building a huge wall between father & son. Henpecked and how! Shouts at Pakkya when bossy wife’s around, becomes his lamb when she disappears.
